Closure of Women’s Refuge Just the Start

Just a few months after being re-elected Dorset County Council’s Conservatives are already busy cutting services. Over the summer they announced plans to close the Weymouth Women’s Refuge. A cross-party campaign was launched involving several Lib Dem Councillors including Ros Kayes. Despite huge community support and coverage in the Echo the Conservatives voted to close the Refuge. We will now wait and see what other cuts come next.
