Cllr Tony Lyall

Tony LyallTony has lived in Dorchester for the past 35 years, having grown up in Frampton. He is celebrating his 40th wedding anniversary this year and has two boys. Tony joined the Town Council in 2004 mainly due to local issues that effect residents in their everyday lives. He has developed a key role supporting the arts and promoting some very successful musical events both in Maumbury Rings and the Borough Gardens. These have been very popular and are immensely appreciated. Tony also takes a great interest in the running of the Corn Exchange and is pleased by the improvements there. “One of the high points of the last four years was convincing the County Council not to open a new household waste site at the bottom of St George’s Road,” said Tony.
