Kate has lived in Dorchester for 18 years and has been a Town Councillor for 8. She is a freelance museum and heritage consultant and has worked with many voluntary groups in the area. As a committed environmentalist and one of the founders of the Friends of the Riverside Reserve, she wants to improve Dorchester’s riverside walks. Kate believes that Dorchester should make the most of its extraordinary heritage and is producing new heritage information panels for the town. She is backing the BID (Business Improvement District) initiative started by local businesses. Kate has also worked with local arts groups and is keen to ensure that better facilities for the arts and for young people are provided.
